(INTEL) Motherboard operation without HSF tach(2-wire)

I'm thinking of buying an Intel motherboard(D845gerg2) for a quiet system I'm building. I can't seem to find out if the motherboard will run properly with a HSF without a tach(2-wire). Will it shut down thinking the fan is not operating? I have looked at the technical documentation and emailed Intel but have had no luck so far. Thanks.

There's usually an option in the BIOS to turn off the CPU fan monitoring. Look around for it and disable it.
