It's fanless, has a notebook drive. Not much to assess for noise, really. Even if it is a noisy notebook drive, when you have music or TV playing, you won't hear a thing. Then the main question is mainly whether there is audible electronic noise at a reasonable distance (since it will mostly be under/near the TV, usually at least 1.5m away), and whether any components run too hot under normal conditions.dcuccia wrote:Can you guys review the new Tranquil PC Media Center (MMC-12)?

Methinks if the product appeals, fits your needs/wants and budget, go for it. The risk for a noise-averse buyer seems pretty low. Then you can come back and tell us all about it in a user review.

How about a Fractal Design Define XL review with lots and lots of hdds (6+) to test its build and noise qualities?

Any chance of a review on either the 3GB AMD Radeon HD7950 Sapphire Overclocked Edition or Powercolor PCS+ cards? Reviews show these cards having an excellent performance/cooling/noise ratio.

Any chance of looking at new Zotac AD04?
Looks perfect as a low power HTPC but it does have a fan so really interested to find out noise levels when playing 1080p video - assume using an SSD rather than normal HD (I would probably stream from my NAS which is in basement)

PowerColor has just released a passive 7750 card. Would be interesting to see a contrast to the Sapphire Ultimate (already reviewed), which was previously the only passive 7750.

I have used that on my TJ08B-E. Its thin but easy to apply. I dont really think it makes much of a difference thou. Most important part is to make sure to eliminate all form of vibration first.Cod wrote:Has there been any reviews concerning any dampening foam? Specifically, the SilverStone SF01?

Thanks for the information. Maybe I'll pick a pack up when I have some extra money to spare.AckeDman wrote:I have used that on my TJ08B-E. Its thin but easy to apply.
