My optical drive bay won't come out because the two little corner, uh, tabs at the top block the door.
What should I do? I don't want to cut the tabs...

The D-shaped tabs on the door itself? I think they're there to make it easier for the tray to push the door open, so I wouldn't cut them myself. Sounds to me like you either need to lubricate something or get an optical drive with a bit more attitude

I think he means the small (square?) taps on the inside off the cover the hides the optical drive.
If thats what you meant I have had the same problem. I "shaved" my optical drive tray a bit in the top corners and now it works.
You dont need toke a whole lot off.

Greetings Howard,
I'm having a hard time understanding the issue you are having -- can you post a picture, or refer to a picture in the SPCR review of this case, please?

Yes, AuraAllan got it right. The purpose of the tabs is to keep the spring-loaded false bay door flush against the rest of the bezel.
Shaving off the door might be what I have to do, then...
