Hole-sealing method, what do you use?
Method and materials for covering vent holes/fan holes etc.
My method is to cut a piece of tin the right size (although cardboard or anything else would do), put a hole in it and pop rivet through the grill. This will last (unlike tape and such), it's quick and reversible.

I used silver Hi Vac tape from Home Depot.
Edit: The idea came from Ralf Hutter of course.

Potsy's method sounds pretty good for fan mount places you dont use at the moment. Especially if the grilles are curved.
Are you other two talking about Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning aluminum tape? That sounds quite proper for the job. Heat resistant and durable. Although how is it to remove and adjust such a tape?

It's a bitch to remove, but I suppose that's a by-product of it's retention/durability under rather extreme conditions.Yomat wrote:Although how is it to remove and adjust such a tape?
