Is this a joke? Have you read the P180 preview and the P160 article
The P160 is not on SPCR's recommended list. The P180 likely will be.

Let me be the third staff member to chime in here and let you know that those two cases are absolutely, positively, incomparable in any way, shape or manner.
Not only is the manufacturing quality on the P180 far superior, but the P180 is one of the most well-damped, if not the best damped mid/full tower case on the market, due to the composite sandwich paneling, whereas the P160 is among the worst damped, and that doesn't even count the numerous stories I've seen of bad/sticky power buttons, scuffed/scratched plastichrome on the front panel, unsmooth/jammed shutters on the rotary port covers etc. etc. etc. P160's construction is similar to the Super LAN Boy, which is among the most rattly, lousily-damped cases I've ever personally worked with.
I'm amazed they even put the two cases in the same line of products. Where's the correlation?

Yes they are. I have both and can personally atest to the superior quality of the P180. The P160 looks nice and I like the frint Bezell.Freelancer77 wrote:I get the distinct impression that the staff is trying to tell us something...
I have done anything to my new P180, except take it apart. I'm prepping it for a Athlon 64.

FWIW, while Techonweb does manage excellent prices now and then, I've had poor experiences with getting parts from them. First, getting the actual part I ordered, and RMA's are a bear with them. If it's not out of line by the SPCR staff, my two cent's recommendation for online parts is:
Zipzoomfly
Amazon
EndPCNoise
Performance-pcs
Newegg (if they have the best price)
Monarch (last resort among these)
Also, keep an eye on a fast rising liquidator named justdeals.com, I grabbed a Logitech elite cordless desktop set for $34 from them a few weeks ago that I'm using at work in place of the plain-jane Dell stuff.
Not disrespecting any of the other excellent mail-order parts houses, and there are many. But these have always given me great service, and among them you should be able to find just about anything you are looking for. On the other hand, here's a list that I personally won't touch:
Spartantech
PcProgress (same place as Spartantech, in disguise)
A2ZComp (great leader prices, terrible service and shipping)
Actually I just ordered a P180 from them yesterday (friday) and it shipped the same day via Fed-Ex ground and is going to be here wednesday. Pretty good if you ask me. And I got it for $127 shipped.Freelancer77 wrote:FWIW, while Techonweb does manage excellent prices now and then, I've had poor experiences with getting parts from them.
