color question about slk3700amb

Post by Wedge » Wed Jun 18, 2003 11:59 am

I have read Ralf's in-house review of this case. Antec says the color is metallic bronze. I am just wondering if the pictures in the review are what antec calls "metallic bronze" or was that a prototype that Ralf received for modding/reviewing?

Colors of case in his review = look good
My imagination of metallic bronze = look bad

I've seen this case at Best Buy. It's silver. I don't know where they get "bronze" from.

Well, I have this case. I also have the SEM paint Ralf recommended in one of his posts. The color is basically a quartz gray, but also has a very slight bit of brown mixed in (very, very slight). So, bhe name bronze isn't totally inaccurate, but different than most people would think. Simply think a slightly odd shade of gray.

It was not a prototype. It's a production model that was bought from Mwave.com.

I've built four systems using this case and they're all the same color. The color is a metallic very dark silver, or maybe you could call it metallic medium-dark gray. It is not brown. I recently had my vision tested and have no colorblindness so I'm capable of see accurate color reproduction. The pics in the SPCR review are real close. A few have a slight blueish tinge, a few have a reddish cast but they give you an accurate idea of the true color.

Thanks Ralf. The pics looked good to me and I assumed it must a production model after re-reading the article. Great one, thanks for that!
I ordered one yesterday with the Fortron PSU from Directron.
