Aside from compatibility does anybody know if there is much of a difference between the vga silencer versions?

The surface roughness on the rev 3 is mirror like, whereas the rev 1 (and presumably rev 2) is still rough.

Rev 3 also has a separate PCI slot bracket for the switch/exhaust hole, so they don't need to accomodate for various video card output configurations.

That review shows you with pictures the differences rev 1 and 3.

The 4th revision is due out in 6-7 weeks. Info for it will be available on Artic Cooling's site in ~ 4 weeks, according to an email i got from them. I'm not sure of the differences, but they say it will be able to cool an X800XT, but then again I'm not sure if a rev3 could do teh job as well. *Shrug*. Just giving ya guys the heads up.

Tom's report the Sapphire Toxic, which is an X800 Pro or XT, does NOT have a speed switch. Instead, it is thermally controlled. I believe the Toxic uses the new revision. I don't think this is good news, since we of course want it silent all the time, but maybe it's just the Sapphire edition.
