I want to transplant a passive cooler from an ATI HD 2600 XT to a GeForce 8500 GT or a 7650 GT ... the ATI drivers don't work for me. Can this be done? Are the mounting holes the same?
I can't find an aftermarket cooler with heatpipes that wrap around the side of the card - which is necessary for the %&*$&( Antec HTPC cases.
I realize that any stock passive 8500GT would fit, but I am concerned that with the airflow in my case it would overheat - I really want to move the cooling to the back of the card.
Your insight is appreciated!
