Intel NUC?
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6444/inte ... g-hands-on
It outputs as HDMI, but a quick adapter could change it into something you want.

Cant seem to find any Mini iTX with BOTH built in Dual Link DVI and DP.
Are there?
If not..
- Should I account for a Videocard that will support both?
- Should I increase the search size to Micro ATX?
Is NewEgg the best place to search for different MoBo with parameters or is there some Comparison/ Tabular Search and Filter engine where I can filter through various Mobos?
PS: I know the adapters are there but they are expensive 100$ and I'd pay for that but are not consistent across OSes & other machines. I will be using the LCD with some laptops also.
The more adapters and dongles you add you increase the possible points of failure.

Maybe something like this:
Zotac ZBOX ZBOXNANO-AD12-PLUS-U
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6856173046
Has a single Displayport out running from the onboard HD7340, as well as USB3, eSATA and Wifi. Also pretty darn small . Should have enough oomph for video-related tasks so long as you're running an OS/player that can hardware accelerate video decoding using the GPU.

Do you mean higher than 1080p via HDMI? So is there some kind of HDMI to DL DVI-D Adapter?m1st wrote:Intel NUC?

2560 x 1600p over -
- Dual link DVI-D
AND
- DisplayPort | MDP | Thunderbolt (backward compat with DP)
Preferably Mini-ITX or grow it to Micro-ATX
Re: Tiny Box to drive 30" 2560 x 1600 via DL DVI-D/ DisplayP
The older MacMini A1283 had a MDP and mini-DVI. The newer ones have HDMI and thunderbold.crashnburn wrote: Is there something out there which can do both:

I don't know about the PC world. But it might be easier just to go for a mITX mainboard you fancy and get a low-end graphics card with two ports.

Since this is such an uncommon combination, now I am thinking in that direction. So let's say I update this as following, what would you suggest:Cistron wrote:The older MacMini A1283 had a MDP and mini-DVI. mITX board (Low priced if possible, but reliable)
- USB 3.0 | eSATA
- GigE RJ-45
Video / Graphics Card (Low low price since I am not gaming at all)
- Supports: 2560 x 1600
- Dual Link DVI-D
- DP | Mini DP
- Small / Compact / Low Profile
- Low Power | Low heat
Bonus if it can drive both together or multiple of the above ports
Bonus if MoBo has Thunderbolt (This might make it more expensive so this is not REQUIRED, but NICE TO HAVE).

Pls see the "Version Comparison" chart. HDMI has supported 2560x1600 since HDMI spec 1.3. It'd just be a matter of getting a cable that works.

Easier said than done. I need to have a Dual-Link DVI-D for this display. I havent been able to find any such cable / adapter on the market.m1st wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-Defin ... _Interfacecrashnburn wrote:Do you mean higher than 1080p via HDMI?
