I think this is a pretty standard build, but I always find it's worth checking with the experts here before I buy anything.
I already have in a cheap MicroATX case:
- Athlon X2 4800+ 2.5GHz (Brisbane)
- Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
- WD 640GB HDD
I also have (not installed yet):
- Sapphire Radeon 3850 Ultimate (fanless)
- Scythe Ninja Mini CPU cooler
- Scythe S-Flex F 120mm fans
- Zalmann manual fan controller with 6 knobs
To complete the build, I'm thinking of buying
- Antec Solo or Mini P180 or P182
- Seasonic S12 II 430W PSU
I expect this will be a three fan build - rear exhaust, front intake, and PSU.
So, my questions -
- Will the smaller cases be big enough to keep this machine cool when loading up the graphics card and CPU (games)? I'd prefer not to fork out for the P182 if not necessary, and I prefer smaller cases.
- Is the Ninja Mini going to provide enough heat transfer for a 65W CPU or will I need something bigger?
- Are there any other issues, eg mechanical conflicts with this build?
Please help with my build

that cooler is really good. it can cool hotter cpu's. that cpu doesnt run hot.
I never buy pricey cases. I find many of them either go too many holes and noise bleeders, or restrictive intakes. just make sure theres a huge front opening.
my antec slk3000 series has decent front openings which make for a cool case.
i havent seen value in a case over 70 dollars since the 80's
