Thinking about using this on my A8N-SLI.

Any opinions?

20db seems too good to be true for a 5000rpm fan...

5000 rpm can't be especially quiet. The Coolmax uses heatpipes-which is pretty techy for a chipset cooler. It's nice if it fits-and you pull it's 40mm fan and find a good way to give it some airflow. There are a lot of 80mm,120mm fans easily made quiet. Anyone can rig up a simple bracket or mount-whether of wood or a modded metal L bracket or shelf bracket. Unless your case is a real tight fit, using whatever passive heatsink and a SLOW but bigger fan seems to be the quiet+cost effective option. I think some can do well with the coolermster Blue Ice-fan removed-full passive.
That would be marginal if you're a gamer/overclocker and often loading to the max.
