Has anyone had experience with both? SPCR gave a very favorable review for the 1TB model, and I'd like to know how the 500GB one compares, noise-wise.
And on another note, how does the GP series compare to the newer 320GB platter drives? There's a lot of talk about the newer drives, but it much of focus is on performance, which I don't care so much about. I'm much more concerned about noise, so does anyone have experience with the two and can comment on them?

500GB has 2 x 250GB platters. 1TB has 4.Yomat wrote:BUMP.
Wondering the same. 500gb is one platter but at the same time StableTracâ„¢ is not available on 500gb and I wonder what difference it makes.

GreenPower 1TB is more silent in idle than Spinpoint F1 1 TB, also vibrates a little less and uses less power. If you don't need the speed, there's little question which to get, really.PartEleven wrote: And on another note, how does the GP series compare to the newer 320GB platter drives?
