Speedfan sensor information?

Post by Martytoof » Mon Jul 28, 2008 1:41 pm

Is there any way to determine which sensors are which in terms of SpeedFan reporting?

I'm running an Asus P5N-E, and I have the following output:

- Temp1
- Temp2
- Temp3
- Temp
- Temp1
- Core 0
- Core 1

I know "Temp" is my GPU and Core 0 and 1 are self explanatory, however I have two Temp1s, and I'm not sure how to locate where Temp2 and Temp3 are. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

You can install & run asus pc probe, then compare the values with speedfan.

P.S: Sometimes two hardware monitors running at the same time "fight" for the monitoring, so maybe sometimes you'll get 0 rpm for a running fan or +6.5V on +5V line, but it's normal. Just wait a few seconds for a new sample of the value.

Very weird, Asus PC probe only reports the motherboard temperature (Temp2), but it doesn't show anything with the same temperatures as Temp1 and Temp3. Also it only shows the temperature for one of my cores :(

Thanks for the advice but I think I'm going to have to be confused for a little longer ;)
