How about making them into forum posts and be able to be uppdated by say 2-3 people outside of the SPCR staff.
I love your reviews but if someone goes to reference | recommended page of fans http://www.silentpcreview.com/article63-page2.html all the fans are 5 year old reviews.
In the latest fan roundup the Scythe Gentle Typhoon and the Noisblocker multiframe fans are both outperforming the Nexus fan by small margins but still. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1266-page7.html
At some point the Noctua and Scythe S-flex should be retired considering there is at least 2 other fans who outperforms the beloved Nexus. Also the Scythe Gentle Typhoon are here in Sweden only $3-5 more then the Nexus fans.
Edit: To clarify, my point is just that by making the reference pages in sticky forum posts the staff from SPCR could focus on the reviews and use trusted forum members to help out with the info to the public.

You have a good point. Either work on those pages more regularly or get others to do it for me. I'll have to think about what kind of standard design we can use in the forums -- formatting is not easy using BBCode.

Thank you for the feedback and i do understand the "structure" has to be solid for it to work.MikeC wrote:You have a good point. There is one significant reason for caution though: No one else has volunteered to do this, or even commented. It would be good to know what the range of opinions are of SPCR readers on this matter.AckeDman wrote:Thank you for the feedback and i do understand the "structure" has to be solid for it to work.MikeC wrote:You have a good point. Updated finally. Not just the recommended list but the whole article, including external links -- http://www.silentpcreview.com/Recommended_FansAckeDman wrote:I love your reviews but if someone goes to reference | recommended page of fans http://www.silentpcreview.com/article63-page2.html all the fans are 5 year old reviews.
