has anyone been able to find a US dealer that will sell the HR-05 SLI? I'd love to ditch my current cooler, but the placement of the NB chip with respect to the PCIe x16 slot on my mb is...well, have a look: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/mb_image/MS-7125.jpg note the position of the NB chip. it...

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum - NB fan alternatives
I read the earlier topic on slowing the NB fan on this motherboard, and I've successfully slowed down the NB fan to ~5200RPM, which cuts down on the wind noise significantly. However, it's still by far the noisiest component in my system, and I'd like to fix that, if at all possible. The problem lie...

a slightly different approach to ducting
In the quest to eliminate all sources of noise from my PC, I've run up against a bit of a snag. My interim CPU, a Celeron from the ancient days of the Pentium II, is being cooled by an aluminum HSF with a 40mm fan sitting atop it. As I'm sure you're aware, there's no such thing as a quiet 40mm fan, ...

I probably should have mentioned this before, but the fan is undervolted via a fanbus, and the thermal sensor keeps it at minimum RPMs pretty much all the time. Running CPUBurn and encoding lengthy FLAC files seem to be the only activities that can raise the temp much above idle, and I can hold off ...

a heatsink fan, and problems therewith
In the interest of quieting my interim PC, I recently moved the guts of it into a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case. This case will be playing host to a pretty much all new system in a few months, but for now, it's holding the guts of a fairly old HP Pavilion. This PC is tolerably quiet, or would be, i...

I'm convinced the two black Mad Dog fans linked to in this thread are actually Yate Loon fans. I bought the slower sleeve bearing model, and in a side-by-side comparison with the medium speed Yate Loon, it sounds the same @ 1600 rpms. Physically, it's a Yate Loon without the Yate Loon logo. CompUSA...

need help finding Yate Loon
Been bouncing around the SPCR fora for a while, but I haven't found a good source for the Yate Loon low speed 120mm fans. I'd go with Nexus, but I really don't like the orange color (clashes rather nastily with a black & blue case, and as it's windowed, I will be looking at it). I've heard the YL is...
