I just wanted to give an update. I ordered the CM-281, and the Ninja fit with no problem. It did prevent the use of two of the four 120mm fans (one below and one to the side of the ninja).

Bummer! My problem is that my current system has a ninja, but my new TV stand only has room for a horizontal-type case. I didn't want to have to buy both a new case and a new heatsink.

Ninja in a desktop case?

I've searched and searched, but I haven't found anyone who has a ninja in a desktop/horizontal/traditional HTPC case.

Does this combo exist?

anyone know how quiet this is? http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=75060 Oh, man! Thank you for the link! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm going to rig up some kind of duct between this and my ATI Silencer to make a closed system. The video card will get cool outside ai...

The video card is, indeed, in the highest slot. But, that's good. The ATI Silencer that's on the card blows the air out of the pci slot directly below the AGP card. What I want to do is put a pci slot fan/blower in a lower slot to bring in air from outside of the case, blow it through the duct to th...

If you're looking for the easy answer.... here you go. Although I've seen a couple of threads where people have had to remove the fans and grease the bearings, this doesn't seem to be everyone who owns one; I couldn't tell you from personal experience b/c I'm running a passive 6600GT, but in genera...

help with idea--cool air in / hot air out (pci slots)

Right now I've got an ATI Silencer on my X800XT. I like how it blows the hot ait out of the case throught the pci slot. But, this thing is not very quiet. I would like to get a quiet pci slot fan/blower to bring cool air in from a lower pci slot, duct it directly to the fan on the vga heatsink, and ...

I've found a super easy way (and better IMHO) to mount fans (any kind) to the XP-120--use zip-ties. Use the heatpipes as the anchors. It works perfect, and makes for a tighter fit.

TMK, what do you think about using an undervolted blower instead of a fan? From what I've read they are quieter and perform better than a fan in a high pressure environment (cramped insides of a PSU).
