Thanks guys! I think this thing may give me what I need. In the mean time, I reconfigured my fans, moving my Nexus 120 off the CPU heatsink, and the 3-speed Antec fan onto it. By cranking that fan to full speed, it lowered the temp about 6 degrees from the extra airflow. I can hear the difference th...

Zalman FB123 bracket question.
OK, so I've seen that several people are using this thing to mount fans, but for the life of me, I can't see how it attaches to the case, and I can't find any forum topics that have working images of it installed. I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount a fan to blow on my piping hot Nvidia 4...

What about the Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra-SLI ? OK, so I've had my GA-K8N system (the one with the stock passive NB heatsink) up for some time now. Speedfan was reporting several temps but I think the NB wasn't one of them. I purchased a temp. probe and wedged it gently but firmly between the hold-down ...

:?: Care to elaborate :?: Sure, on the Thermalright XP-120 mobo compatability webpage: http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_support_faq_motherboard_xp120_k8.htm they point out that Gigabyte uses a plastic backplate on thier 939 boards that needs replacement with a steel version. ($3.00 US retail...

Are you saying that most features of the SLK3000B becomes useless for an athlon 64? Also, I plan on getting a 6600Gt wich are supposed to be kind of noisy (and I can't find the fanless gigabyte) so wouldn't there be a better case without TAC desing to reduce noise? NewEgg has the fanless Northbridg...

Good luck with your build, it looks very similar to the one I'm working on now. There is a good review of the Arctic Cooling NV5 on a 6800GT here on SPCR: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article199-page1.html They have some sound clips where you can hear it for yourself. I know its going to be louder ...

Has anyone had experiance with the Gigabyte GA-K8N mobo? It looks like they chose to solve the problem with a large passive HS. From the pictures I've seen on NewEgg, there isn't a fan on the Nv4 chipset. Just a big gold-anodized looking Heat Sink. I'm tempted to just buy this mobo to solve the prob...

For what it's worth, I'm building a similar system, and chose the SS400. If PSU fits the case like I'm hoping, I'll mod the case with vent holes on the top, and a duct around the rear of the PSU, similar to the ARM stealth systems. That's why I chose the SS searies Seasonic, it's fan is at the rear ...
