the other problem with the innovateks is they are sealed. no way to break them down to clean them out etc (though having said that considering how big a pin in the butt the alphacools were to put together might be the way to go (joking i'd still go for alphacool cape coras but not easy to put togeth...

hi, thanks for the post, i dont really read this site anymore due to the lack of traffic, check out http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10 as a lot more liquid information there. Unfortunately I was only after black. Since then a lot has changed however, I ordered direct from germ...

I'm still not seeing how you'll plumb this to get a 6:1 ratio. Just by thread name, 1/2" inlets are ~75% bigger than 3/8" outlets, so this is more like 3.5:1. Suppose I should look up the actual IDs before commenting here... Anyhow, sounds like a big setup. I'm looking forward to your diagram. From...

nah just because they talk about xtreme doesn't mean anything. Basically they talk a lot in other forums about overclocking etc but the water cooling section is all about quiet. to keep you in the loop with my project I've just ordered a ton of equipment from Alphacool in germany. the plan is to hav...

yep, basically I've decided to go with cape cora's. i'm not sure how I am going to mount them yet but i like the idea of being able to tear down the cooling system for cleaning etc. I'm surprised there aren't a lot more parts available for water cooling eg a multi outlet T piece with G1/4 threads et...

Cape Cora's being dumped?
Are the Cape Cora's passive radiators being dumped? I've been trying to buy 3 black 642's for the last week and couldn't find them anywhere. This is the email that I got from Alphacool when I queried them directly. Does anyone know what the deal is? Are they being replaced with something else? Are t...

ok I think I understand now, basically you are saying moving up 1 degree takes a lot of effort and moving down 1 degree takes an equally large amount of effort.
makes sense.

hmmmm?
Hmmm, so how does the radiator get all of the heat out of the system if there is only a 1degree drop from inlet to outlet?
Hardly seems worth the effort of all those fans etc on your radiator, may as well just have a large resvoir and allow for ambient heat loss.

loop order
I get that the water/pump spreads out evenly but wouldn't it mean that some items might actually be heating up? eg if a video card is only 30c but the incoming water is 35c it's actually heating the card? whereas the cpu is 45c therefor loosing 10degrees differential? As the water coming back from t...

cooling route?
Something I've never thought to ask before, what order do people recommend the cooling loop take? I'm assuming it doesn't really matter that much and it should take the most logical path based on case/motherboard layout but I've been lead to belive pump should be first inline after the radiator. Is ...

I thought pricing was ok considering it's milled from a solid block. Basically this is the design I'm going with, as far as my research can tell a 1/6th outlet to inlet size is the correct ratio (pressure makes up the difference). I'll post here a full diagram for peer review before I purchase all m...

McMaster Manifold question
http://www.mcmaster.com/nav/enter.asp?pagenum=178 I am thinking of implementing the above manifold in a new water cooling situation. Instead of using the manifold to 'split up the water feed for various loops' which is what most people use manifolds for I'm going to use it where each of the 6 '3/8" ...

1/2" T piece with compression fittings and male thread
Does anyone know where I can find a 1/2" T piece with compression fittings on the long axis and a thread on the male perpendicular (not important what size or thread).
I have a specific project where I need large bore T pieces and i cant find what I'm looking for.
TIA,

hmmm just noticed these come as a threaded model as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts on tehir suitability as a threaded item? (will be threaded into aluminium so concerned about expension rates etc).

Whats wrong with these? Looks pretty good and price is reasonable though I'm concerned about the flow restriction they may introduce.
Would appreciate some real world experience.

I'm very curious about both the Cora and Innovatek 'pipe extrusion' models. Basically both of them dont seem to push the water in an "up and down" route the way the reserator 2 does. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm thinking that I might get an extrusion that just is sealled off at the top...

I change the water every 6 months. I've been using poland springs distilled water and occasionally add additives. I noticed that the 'clip' for the top of the pump dissolved away some time ago but I figured it was just cheap crap metal that caused that. All the reserators V1 use the eheim 300. Cheer...

Hi Guys, I just upgraded to an eheim 600 pump, you need to remove the inlet return valve in order to make it fit but easy modification.
