I couldn't help noticing the Dell firmware update is for drives with the following model numbers: WDxxVE-75HDT0. My Scorpio's model number is WD400VE-00HDT0. I have not installed my drive yet as I was waiting on this update(I am installing it in a mac so the update would need to be done in a pc) . C...

Ed,

In another thread you mention the absence of the clicking noise, found on many a WD Scorpio, from your review sample. What is the build date of your sample?
