Well, I checked by Antec US website today and found out that they removed the NSK-3480 product flyer link that mentioned the included EA-380 PSU. It seems like they didn't originally want to include the EA-380 PSU into the case. Well, that pretty much explains everything. :? Good catch. I guess the...

BUYER BEWARE As of July, 2007, many, if not all, NSK3480s available for purchase will advertise, but not actually include the EA-380 80+ PSU. After phoning and emailing with my vendor and with Antec, I am still not entirely clear as to what is going on, but am fairly certain that my vendor was misin...

The SU-380 and EA-380 are totally different PSUs, though the SU-380 is not poorly rated by SPCR, FWIW. Note from the review that the SU-380 is not quite worthy of the 80+ certification that the EA-380 has, so there is probably some difference in electronics. There also appears to be a difference in ...

Mankey: If you have the time, shopblt.com would like to have pictures of the sku panel on the box, and the numbers on the case and the PSU. They are apparently communicating the problem to Antec.

Thread restart

I created a new thread about the above problems under the label "NSK3480 fraud in the US" NEW THREAD I hope no body is offended by my thread hijack, but I wanted to attach a more alarmist title, so that the issue is dealt with appropriately by the distributor responsible. Also, I want to know if the...

Possible Antec NSK3480 fraud in the US

BUYER BEWARE As of July, 2007, many, if not all, NSK3480s available for purchase will advertise, but not actually include the EA-380 80+ PSU. See thread for further detail. -- Having just received an NSK3400 from an online vendor claiming to sell the NSK3480, I would like to now start a new thread a...

This case is apparently getting replaced by the NSK3400:

In the US, the similar, but superior, NSK3480 is now available
whereas outside the US, the NSK3400 is available

There are multiple threads about each within SPCR

Build quality looks a little disappointing in some of the photo's. :( Look at the gap to the left of the powersupply: http://www.phoronix.net/image.php?id=689&image=silverstone_sg03_sys1_lrg The SG02 looked much nicer. Too bad it's only for the Asian market. I see what you're talking about. That wo...

Silverstone SG03

I have a great deal of interest in the upcoming SG03 previewed here: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article717-page4.html and "reviewed" here: http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=8438&page=1 It appears that someone has finally attempted what I've always wanted: the smallest possible case using...

So I've now built a computer around the Z720T. I can give subjective impressions of the stock case. GOOD: Inexpensive. Stock PSU is as quiet or quieter than the Arctic Cooling Silencer Ultra TC 64 recommended by SPCR (note that my heat generation consists only of 1 Samsung spinpoint, K8M800 NB, semp...

Negative comments; I said I wanted negative comments about the CS10068 :-)

Looks like the CS10068 would have been a pretty good choice; hopefully the Z720T also is.

I have never before noticed HEC cases. They don't appear to be readily available in the US. HEC doesn't provide a very detailed picture of the case on their website either. Do they support full ATX PSU's? Now I wonder what percentage of MATX cases do support full ATX PSUs.

I was looking for something similar to you earlier and ultimately compromised on size (I also never really wanted a fanless- reading this site, you'll find they're a mixed bag). Ultimately, I think PCs must choose some compromise between modularity, size, noise, and performance. Going fanless in a s...

Thanks.

Thanks, .02c was what I was looking for. Incidentally, the orientation of the 5.25 was probably THE reason I did not end up purchasing the CS10068. That and a lack of credible reviews for a product that costs 50$ more than its competition.

It'll be a while

I'll let you know when I get it, but I need to actually buy the parts to go inside the case still. It's good to know someone else thought the Z720T looked pretty strong. Incidentally, Gigabyte seems to be on the edge of releasing a nice s939 MATX. http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Products/Produc...

Any MATX case interest? & Newbie case advice?

As a newbie to the site, I must first say that SPCR is excellent. The quality of this site is readily evident relative to many popular hardware review sites. I have gleaned a lot from reading both its articles and its forum. However, there doesn't seem to be as much interest here in MATX. Is it beca...
