Just as a system comparison to yours, nutball, my rig (see details below) using a wattmeter drew the following consumption from the mains. With the PSU on standby with 5v flowing through mobo : 19w System on, at idle, with cool'n'quiet : 85w At load playing FEAR: ~140w So your readings sound right, ...

Hi elec999. I use a Scythe silent box to encase my samsung spinpoint sp2004c. Its Completely silent when inside the case at both idle and spin, and thats with an already very quiet setup. Temperatures inside the HD gradually climb to max of 41C after about 5 hours and stops climbing. Would of gone f...

I tried getting one of these back in september, emailed KustomPCS and QuietPC.com to see if they had any plans to order some, but they were happy with the harddrive silencers they already had. It seems they are only available in the US and Japan, not anywhere in Europe. Settled for the Scythe Silent...

OH YEAH you're right about the MX510. I just put my ear up to the mouse after noticing your post, and I can't believe how noisy it is. Its quite noticeable at <20 cm from my ears even when placed on a mouse mat. That probably explains some of the whine I keep hearing when I position my head in a cer...

My VP191b does emit a quiet hum that can be heard when the brightness level is below 75% mark on the brightness setting bar. More noticeable at late hours of the evening when the ambient noise level is very low. Didn't notice it at first when I purchased it, but after replacing a desk lamp that had ...

Hi regoldman I use the much acclaimed NEXUS 120 fans with my T-balancer. No problems at all. The same happened to me with the T-balancer. I had to order some mcubed superstrong from the mcubed website.
