The 400gb hdd is new(blank).Ive used this utility many times on 120gb,160gb,250gb models and erased the mbr even without data stored on them and they will post fine.

I think hutil.exe v2.03 does not support the T series yet.

I ran the utility,change the dma from 5 to 6 ,aam to quiet and erase mbr, then i reboot and a message in bios display says primary master fail.
Did this tool kill the hdd or it a faulty hdd?

I bought a seasonic S12 380W and it does bootup with my light load PC system. .The 380W runs much cooler than the 500W which was very warm.

I did the jump start guideline on the S12 500W which indicate its probably good. The asus motherboards i tested were fine.The A7V880 is using zalman 400W and the A7V333 is using antec truepower 430W. Problem solved.I had to enable "bpcpost.exe" in the startup(msconfig).I had this disabled for other PSU without problems.

I solved the problem.All i had to do was set the udma 5(100) manually on my mobo BIOS settings and then use the hutil utility to match the same udma 5(100) on hdd.
hutil v1.28 was released this week.
