Maybe I wasn't clear.
The change is my room temp. I moved from USA to Thailand.

What is max safe temp for P5B Deluxe (in Antec P150)
Idle @ 45-46c now. Load around 46-48c. Used to be 10c lower but I have moved from lower room temp to higher room temp. Any recommendation to cool this thing down? CPU temp is higher too but not as much as mobo temp. Now mobo temp is close to CPU temp now. Using Ninja Rev B and have two front in take...

RMClock and C2D (OCed and cool and quiet)?
Anyone use RMClock to manage speed/power of OCed Core2 Duo? Speed step wouldn't do much good coz it automatically set Vcore and that introduce instability when OC. RMClock seems to allow setting both Vcore and multiplier to use. Maybe it's a good solution to have it throttle CPU speed to minimize th...

Been trying with Dell for a long time. I'm not the original purchaser so it less luck. They need the original receipt for some reason (apparently, the monitor has 3 yrs warranty and it has been released less than 3 yrs. Technically, all monitors are under warranty now). I'd like to try to move the P...

Silencing PSU of LCD monitor?
Hi,
My LCD generate humming noise when on. It does create annoying high pitch noise when it's hot (says after 2 hrs continuous run). This is known problem for my model but Dell refuse to fix it. (darn) It's 2405FPW.
Not 100% sure that the noise is from PSU but couldn't think of anything else.

So you were screwless or screwed? :P   LOL. Both, actually. Now I have the screws from Scythe USA and have installed the heatsink (no installation problem on P5B Deluxe Wifi). I got 10+ c drop in temp! Great heatsink. IMHO, very great value compared to Ultra 120 price. The stock Scythe f...

9v fix mod?
Hi,
What's the easy and reliable way to get 9v? Says like getting 7v, the most safe way is using zener diode.
Need to undervolt the YateLoon a little. It's tad loud @ 12v but no different @ 7-9v (so, I'd like to get more air by going 9v instead of 7v).

It's the Rev B one.
Anyone know the size of those set screws? They are the screws to attach the clip (775) to the heatsink. I guess I will drive to Home Depot soon.
For some reason, they put 2 bags of silicone instead!
Man. What a bumper!

My build is 6000 (RTM version). I guess you need to install the right driver for your chipset. My office rig is Asus A8N32-SLI deluxe with 4800+ X2 Toledo and CnQ does NOT automatically kicks in when power management set to "balanced". I have not tried to upgrade the nForce driver yet. I was looking for the same fan earlier. I found this; http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2489/fan-189/JMC_120mm_1225-12HB_Fan_w_PWM_Connector_400268.html?id=s9tu5EZx Which is hefty @ $19. I believe if you go to JMC site directly, you will find other distributor which might be cheaper. I end up with 3...

OK... hmmm.... Maybe if you don't mind mATX, why don't buy Antec NSK2400 and Antec Fusion stacked together :D Looks here, might be more help there also; http://htpcnews.com/ I'd look into the Ahanix cases. You might need to work on to get it more silent but they are looking good. Fits standard ATX. ...

Re: Looking for case advice for HTPC
There are several HTPC case manufacturers in the market like Silverstone, Ahanix, Zalman, Lian Li, Cooler Master, Antec. I like the Antec Fusion which seems to be designed based on noise. Other cases like Ahanix and Silverstone are mainly made of aluminum which has worse noise characteristic than th...

Re: Cool n Quiet on Vista?
I'd like to confirm this. Last night, I was on Vista (release 32-bit version) and CnQ "just works". The default scheme for power management of Vista is "balanced" or probably equal to "Performance on Demand" of RightMark CPU Clock utility. I tested this to confirm by opening the CPU-z. It show on id...

The stock fan is loud. I tried it on a Fanmate 2 and the bearing noise is still bad. Maybe I could cut of the whole grill and do some surgery to put 80x25 fan in. Nevertheless, this fan looks interesting. http://www.jab-tech.com/Panaflo-80mm-Thin-Low-FBA08T12L-pr-3232.html Don't know of any replacem...

Recommend for 80x15 thin fan for PSU replacement?
Hi, I've opened the PSU comes with my Antec Minuet 300. The PSU is rated 300W and has proprietary form factor so replacing the whole PSU is not an option. The fan inside the PSU is RDH8015B 80mm x 15mm thin fan. Rated 0.17A @ 12v. It has only 2 pin so I guess it run at full speed. I found the data o...

Antec MINUET 300 PSU fan noise
Hi, I've just build a machine for my g/f. Got this case because it looks sleek. http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15102 I have 3 fans in the case, CPU, PSU and case fan (antec tricool 80mm). The case fan is quiet at low speed, which is OK. CPU fan is currently stock HSF. Not silent b...

Thanks Sooty, I have order the older Scythe DF (I think it's 90mm). Should fit. Will undervolt. I'm not planning to run it at full speed anyway. Hopefully, it will quiet down to good level with undervolt. I also post question on the case ...
