I recently built a V1000. There is certainly enough width for the Ninja. I'm running an AMD X2 3800+ with a passive Ninja on it, passive Radeon 9800 PRO and only one Nexus 120mm case fan at 600RPM. CPU temp idles at 36C, 2 HDDs at 31C with Cool n Quiet enabled. Lots of airflow through the cheese-gra...

CPU fan error with 120mm NEXUS - help?

I've got a new ASUS mobo with a 120mm NEXUS connected to the CPU 3pin fan header. The mobo reports a CPU fan error on BIOS POST with the NEXUS but not with the stock AMD HS fan. Both fans actually spin normally and speed varies with load etc., NO difference in functionality. Why the error with the N...

what are safe temp ranges for AMD A64 X2 3800+

I'm new to AMD, and I just put together a new system with a AMD A64 X2 3800+ on a ASUS A8V mobo with a Ninja HS. What are reasonable CPU temp ranges under idle and load as reported by the BIOS? AMD specs this CPU between 49C-71C, what does this mean exactly

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies, I'll probably cut them (yes I was also thinking of the staggering cut). Bundeling them looks nasty as i have a case with PSU on bottom AND reversed MOBO, so the lenth of cable I need is in fact very short. The cables on the new Seasonic 430 are indeed very long and sleeved.

Seasonic - too many wires - what to do?

Just got a Seasonic S12-430 and I'm dreading the rat's nest situation I got now with so many leads/wires I'm not using. I'm building a minimalist system. Any suggestions on what to do with all the extra wires (besides tucking them away), can they be cut off and taped? Or can i molex some connectors ...

ON/OFF power switch for internal SATA II drive? Any issues?

I want to be able to turn my internal backup SATAII drive completely OFF via an ON/OFF switch spliced inline with the power wire. This is strictly a backup drive that's used once a week for 15 minutes while I backup image files, so I dont want it running all the time, for noise/heat/security reasons...

acaurora are you ditching your p180 for an NSK6500 box? I'm about to build a quiet system and considering the P180 and the NSK6500, even tho the cases are really quite different, but the 180 is a bit too big for my needs Plastic. Still very sturdy. As for TP2.0, I don't know, but I'm guessing it pro...

Question for Antec Rep or anyone:

Is the front bezel on the 4400 and 6500 aluminum or painted plastic?

Also, are the bundeled PS units the TruePower 2.0? Is this confirmed? If so does anybody have any experience with these?
