Hey Nicoman, I know those processors have a TDP of 95W, and I know your system is a beast, but before you go off purchasing all this water cooling stuff that may or may not be quiet enough for you, I'm still not convinced that this system cannot be quietly cooled on air. I mean, what you're looking ...

I'm running it in my antec p180 right now with 3 yate loons at 5v and it runs flawlessly with no artifacting. Obviously I can't say for sure whether it'll work for you or not, but for me it's working fantastically.

Maybe I don't know how to setup the airflow... maybe But in idle i had 64 and you 62 so it is very similar.... and WoW is not a stressing game, try some benchmark that really make the GPU work then we will see the temp, and in an hot summer add 10°. I am glad you are happy with this card, I am not...

I don't understand how this card is getting so much of a beating! Maybe if you don't know how to set up good airflow in the case it's a problem, but right now, I'm running one of these (the extreme version) in my p180 with 3 yate loons at 5v (one on the harddrive cage and two as exhaust) and the car...

It's weird, but after the computer has been running for a while, the heavy chirping noise goes away... is there a warm up period with motherboards or something? anyways, there's a slight chirping noise, but it's only really noticable if I put my head physically near the exhaust. I know I sound crazy...

Is there any danger with actually touching the motherboard while it's running?

Well, it's a very weird noise, and i know it's not my HDD because A) i have a p180 and the hdds are VERY far away from the cpu, and B) it's coming from the cpu socket. I'm not being picky, but it's an absolutely horrible noise that changes (i.e. it doesn't stay as a constant tone). If I were to get ...

Weird sound coming from the CPU socket

Hey guys, I just recently silenced my PC, but now that I have, i'm hearing several very concerning noises coming from my motherboard. Whenever I play world of warcraft (for some reason, it only happens when I play world of warcraft and not when I use CPU burn-in) A strange churning noise is emitted ...

Oh, and by the way, i think the clawhammer has a TDP(at least i think that's what it's called) of 89W; knowing this, are these temperatures normal?

Hr-01 temps on an AMD 3700+

Hey everyone, I just recently installed an HR-01 heatsink with fanduct onto my socket 754 AMD 3700+ clawhammer CPU. Using the stock cooler in my P180 case with yate loons on both the top and the back at 5v I previously had idle temps of 48 degrees C and 54 degrees C at full load. After the installat...

I still haven't gotten the case yet; I'm just planning for the time being. Thanks for the great input! I read in one of the articles that one of the reasons why the graphics card may be warmer in this case than in most stems from a smaller intake fan opening on the front. Should I maybe cut out the ...

How is that problem solved? doesn't that mean that this case still provides horrible air circulation for VGA cards?

Does/Why does the p180 have problems with VGA cooling?

Hey everyone! I'm really sorry for posting what probably is a very overly asked question, but I have been searching for this answer for the last 2 hours and havent found it. I would love to buy the p180 because it seems to solve a lot of my problems (I.E. the need for a case that has good airflow an...
