Personally, I'm happy to be marketing fodder. At least that gives us some hardware to work with. I totally agree. It's nice to see someone out there is actually listening. This is my first branded case (Sonata II) and have to say I'm very impressed. The ACAG is another example of Antec taking case ...

I'm using quite an old fan controller which is the Vantec Nexus NXP-201. LOL.. we must be on the same wavelength. I was looking at those.. only the 3½ version. Nice practical unit. The 5½ might be the way to go considering the Sonata also has a door. I'll need to poke a couple of holes in the case ...

Nice clean case there Mr_Spork. Great pics on the Zalman's too. I'm considering them for my own silent/cool upgrade. Figure if you can get the sound below that of your HDDs.. that's pretty darn good. Mind if I ask which fan controller you're using.. the FanMates? Was wondering if they'd be OK hooked...

Shame to replace it.. it's a nice looking case. My recent experience (RaidMax 5x80mm to Sonata II) was rather interesting. I've realized the most important sound control item is the PSU. If that's OK then build a simple fan controller for the 80s. Luckily, the front fan holes are as good as it's goi...

Was going to mention.. it's probably better to pull the other power connections from your components (molex etc.) if you're testing it inside the case :)

A web search example. Dibs on the disclaimer :) http://www.overclock.net/faqs/19658-how-turn-your-psu-without-hookup.html ddd P.S. Just tried it on my RaidMax (no great loss) and it worked. Text directions: Hold 20 pin main connector so attaching clip is on top. Put one end of paper clip in 4th conn...

Couldn't really tell from the picture but a 3" hole cutter and fan guard would be one option. Also, a simple controller ($5 rheostat) in line with the fan so you can find that 'sweet spot' instead :)

Can only comment on the TriCool fan. It's relatively quiet on low, but not on high.. only because it's moving 79 CFM of air !! I have my pair on high with a rheostat. Fiddling with switches inside the case is just a pain. Can set range high or low (the ringing in my ears is louder). If your mobo sup...

Looks like a good choice. Checked out the 480W version and the design looks quite different. There was a 24 to 20 pin adapter.. but couldn't confirm the 2x2 12v mobo connector. I was originaly confused before I bought the SP-450W. It also has the 24 pin and seperate 2x2 12V mobo connector, which is ...

Sorry.. wasn't paying attention. Twice.

Same case? Resonance. Loose standoff or hardware points.

Shorter version.. similar to Thermaltake Armor? It's a nice design.. I'm surprised it isn't copied more.

CPUZ is a small program that can identify your mainboard, amoung other things :) http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php Download is on top left under lastest version heading: CPU-Z 1.31. There are a lot of AGP cards available that would suite your system. Anything in the ATI X800 series, for one. Best would ...

They probably decided on 3 because that's how many port holes there are available on the sides. Mounting suspended drives requires a little more room than a tray too (someone at Antec must has big meaty fingers) Also, behind the right hand side panel, they double as wire hangers. If you're having tr...

You could always count the holes and multiply by their dimension and compare it to a typical case fan CFM. Thought I read something about that here at SPCR already. (P150 review :))

Any fan control programs for that card ? With mine, I can use ATI Tools to lock the fan speed or ramp it depending on the cards temperature. Since yours only buzzes while gaming, it could be a specific rpm. Worth a look-see.

I've heard of motherboard electrical components doing that to though.

My CPU fan on SpeedFan whines at 100, 90, 80, 70. It's relatively quiet at 95, 85,75,65, Go figure. I use a rheostat on the pair of 120mm case fans and find the same thing, but not as much. Each fan is different. Depends mostly on fan quality I suspect.

I'm testing with SpeedFan and figured it starts up as a percentage of the fan input voltage, regardless of what that voltage was. Doesn't mean the fan's turning at the same rate.. right ?

I'm pretty sure the NeoHE 430 has the 20/24 pin power and the 4 pin auxillary for older motherboards. they're 'hardwired' to the PSU, whereas the rest are modular It comes with the Antec P150. Here's a review.
