Doesn't hissing have to do with the Signal to Noise ratio of the sound card? I'd get a good sound card to get rid of the hissing. I agree. I can turn my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 Ultras full blast and if no music is playing then I won't hear a thing. Thanks to my M-Audio Revolution 5.1 I can't do this w...

Fortron Zen 400W fanless It's at newegg...how much airflow does a fanless psu need? It will depend on your case. If you have a huge, tall case then I think you could place the PSU up there and not have much to worry about airflow (as long as it gets some) but if your case is smaller then the heat f...

Re: No floppy connectors on my S12-430?!

It's a separate adapter cable that connects to the 4 pin moles on one end and has two floppy connectors on the other end.

If you don't have it you can probably just buy one from wherever.

The fellow you mention has a P180. I didn't see a picture of his setup but I did see a picture of yours. To me it looks like you're not getting any airflow through your HR-01. If your PSU is super quiet then it's probably not adding to the airflow through the HR-01. Your hard drive seems to be doing...

What is it going to be powering? I think it will depend on that. If it's going to be basically idling, playing movies, or surfing the web, probably yes. If it's going to be gaming and you have the hardware to stress it, probably not.

Subjectively speaking, the idle sound of the Samsung is somewhat (even side by side I could barely tell the difference, but there was a difference) quieter but its seeks much louder. I would say that the seeks of the Samsung with AAM are about the same, if not louder, than the WD without AAM enable...

Yeah, good reason not to buy computer gear from ebay, trying to get warranty replacement/repairs done is difficult, if not impossible. Re: Concept Computer....Start to Finish.

I think the SYBA HDD cooler suffers big time from the fact that the heat sink does not make that good contact with the HDD because most of its contact is with the paper label on the HDD. Still, I found it to be identically good as the Zalman ZM-2HC2 in my system (on bottom front of TJ08). I was temp...

Re: Antec SOLO - HSF airflow: Up, down, sideways?

My signature shows my system, sans mobo (probably abit QuadGT) and HSF. The question is, in an Antec SOLO (with a PSU that sucks up from its bottom), how important to airflow is the direction the HSF blows? I'm planning on 2 92mm intake fans, and 1 120mm exhaust. Given that, intuitively it seems a ...

Works great

Used it in two systems without any problems whatsoever. First was P150/NF7-S/XPM-3200+/6600GT, later TJ08/6100mobo/Opteron 152/7600GT.

Although the PSU works great I swapped it for a S12-430 so that the PSU would help with cooling thus allowing the case fan to spin slower.
