I believe Ever Lubricate bearings are like Protechnic's rifle bearings, but I'm not sure. http://www.aocusa.com/evercool/index.ph ... =EC-EGF-12 is the Evercool official page on it, better than the engrish at newegg.

Looks decent, 800rpm at 12v puts it on par with a Scythe S-flex D, and it's RoHS too!

Oh, and don't use a Nexus Driveaway. It doesn't cool well from posts on the forum. The Seagate you have should be sufficiently quiet to use no drive enclosure. Or, if you can afford it, get a Grow Up Japan Smart Drive 2002 enclosure.

Did you remove the duct to get the 9500 to fit? I have an 8300 and I'm looking for a nice HSF. Did it snap into the Dell retentionframe? (sorry for threadjacking)

GlassMan: Definitely! Plug 115v into a 230v set PSU, you're not going to harn it, it just won't turn on. Vice versa, and you blow up the PSU and quite probably other components.

I'd not trust that XP480 with even 250W! It's probably just a rebadged 250w anyway. And Yes the Tt Orbs came out loooong before Zalman 7000, but the Golden Orb II and Blue Orb II are ZM7K-esque.

Looks like the 60mm in the Seasonic M12 is an Adda model, bodes well for noise. Enfin terminons par une très bonne nouvelle : Seasonic travaille sur une alimentation fanless mais aucune date de sortie n'a été avancée. Connaissant le sérieux de la marque, on peut se mettre à espérer à une ali...

Sorta does look like an LX-6A19 inside. And they know how to spell 'aluminium'. Really does remind me of a Chenming though. iStar make server stuff, replace the fan because it's bound to be loud.

The Mine is compatible with AM2. It's designed more with fan cooling in mind, because of the closely spaced fins. It's not a good passive cooler because of that.

You have to wonder what the hell Lian Li were thinking. Why not just shrink the V series and make it a microATX board? Instead they had to put the PSU where it suffocates the CPU cooler.

For DC anyway, Mike_P. AC wattage = Volts * Amps * Power Factor. IIRC anyway. I have only an elementary knowledge of electrical engineering.
