I have several 501LJs and 321KJs and I run them all with AAM disabled. Do the 501LJ and the 321KJ differ in speed, latency, or loudness? I'm currently building a new desktop system, and I have to choose a harddisk for it. At the moment, I consider the following possibilities: * 1 x Samsung Spinpoin...

gone?
It appears this drive has been discontinued? Any idea what a viable replacement would be? I don't need 500GB

DAW build
I'm in the same boat here, about to build out a new DAW and am absorbing everything that's been said here. I will probably be going with an Antec P150 case, as I can get one cheap and they supposedly have a good, silent PSU. I'm leaning towards the e4300 myself and am trying to figure out what mobo ...

Mike, Thanks for clearing that up. I'm looking for a horizontal oriented machine so I can put it in my recording rack. It would be a DAW, not a HTPC, but the same criteria is required. Quiet and well cooled. I'm thinking Core 2 duo with a passive vid card. Do you think the LC17/LC20 would be a good ...

PSU Vents
Is it me or does anyone else see these Silverstone PSU vents to be a problem? It appears they take the air from outside the case and run it through the PSU versus removing heat from within the case.

Overture II
Any users here? How quiet are these things? Can they quietly (near silently) cool a 4400+ X2 with a light video card?
I need something with horizontal orientation (or do I) that can fit ATX.

PSU
when should the PSU problems be cleared up?
I have an ASUS A8V mobo looking for a home.
Also, does anyone see a problem placing this case on it's side and running it horizontally, or should I look for another option?

bump
Any users of the Overture II? I'm looking for something I can put in a rack (not rack mounted) so the horizontal orientation appeals to me. But this case seems like it might run too hot with an X2 4400+ setup.
