Right you are, assassin.
i'm not sure whether the panel behind the door is just dusty in that shot or what, but it doesn't look up to snuff. it'd be nice to see a shot of the door as well. i'm not too keen on them, but it might help this case.

on a harmless [slightly off topic] note, OP you have some mad paint skillz! larfs, what did oyu use to make your pictures? also, i realise the top partitions are to guide air through the heatsink, but do you have an air intake in the 5 1/4" bays to give your PSU some air? i suspect you do, but just ...

is card stock the only partitioning you've used, or have you tried other stuff? do oyu use it mainly because it's on hand, or what? i've got a whole bunch of 4" square foamcore sheets that i was given a while ago, but haven't found a use for yet. would these be suitable for partitioning? they're fai...

larfs, your spelling of taut is correct. don't fall into the mispelling trap!! although, capitalisation is obviously not so "set in stone". this really is an ingenious solution, but i'd want to at the very least include some sort of system to stop it smashing around inside my case when moving it..ca...

aha! i stuffed myself trying to think to deeply! larfs. i managed to confuse myself into thinking "airflow opening" == "duct". ah wells, you live and learn. on a side note, what's the go with that cable that runsacross the top of your CPU partition, just below the heatsink, towards the bottom of the...

just how urgent is this build? are you needing the computer NOW!! sort of thing, or is it a more relaxed build timetable? are you testing out the waters, just seeing what's around and deciding on stuff as you go, or is this something that you want to go out and pick up today/once you're happy with t...

i'd have to agree with you there Isaac, partitions seem to me to be the better idea [as opposed to ducts]. you're circulating the entire volume [subject to fluid dynamics, i suppose] of the space you partition. however, as soon as you need the air to flow through something restrictive [ie, a heatsin...

another topic on the forums gave me another idea. the Blorb blows air from the top, out through the fins. considering that it sits right blow the power supply and rear case fan, that seems a little silly to me. i'm thinking of rigging up a holder that would mount a fan upside down [ie, pulling air t...

it seems i've come across this thread a little too late, but ah well. i've just installed one these Blorbs on my A64 3000+. sound wise, a good improvement over the stocko cooler. temps wise..i'm now running 1-3deg over ambient [20-26deg C in the last few days] at idle, and i haven't seen it going pa...

basically, there are a few things to think about when it comes to your RAM choice, and therefore CPU choice. to start with, DDR ram is still cheaper [and possibly more available] than the [at the moment at least..] inferior DDR2 ram. when DDR2 starts to get run at >800 speeds, it might start to come...
