I have experience of the TTBT on a naked 3000+ at 2500Mhz. In my eyes, the stock fan was too noisy and I replaced it with a GlobalWin NCB, which was mush less audible. Temps were about the same as my Ninja with a 3700+ at 2700Mhz.

My Ninja rev b allows my overclocked 3700+ (2700Mhz at 1.45V) to idle at around 40 degrees with the stock fan at under 800rpm. It's silent but I would like it to be lower, and I believe it should be. However, I think I did damage some of the heat pipes by using the long screws instead of the shorter...

I too am finding the Tri-cool fan on low too intrusive. I am going to get a Noctua to replace it.

I also have some Acoustipack left over, which I will use to cover the side panel nearest me.

I have a PNY Quadro NVS 285 in my computer at the moment, as my X1900 is away for RMA. I bought it for £25. It's passive and runs at about 60 degrees idle. It scored 1100 in 3dmark05, which is pretty pathetic but it is fine for desktop use.

The Zalman VF700 does fit the AGP 6600 series. I installed one on my parents AGP 6600GT. However, the heat sink does stick out over the top of the card so if you have a very narrow case, it might not fit.

I have my SOLO system up and running now. The Glacialtechs in the front are silent when running at the lowest setting my Silverstone fan controller puts out, but they do create some noise running at full speed. However, the noise is quite broadband and low in tone so it is not especially off putting...

Ok, I just received the Glacialtech 92mm's. The label on the back states that they are rebranded Everflow fans, part number F129025SL, and they have 5 blades instead of the usual 7. I can comment on this as the X1950XT is basically a X1900XT but with higher clock speeds. I have tried a variety of PSU's with my system, a 460W Tagan, a 400W Enermax Liberty and the one in my sig. The Tagan was too loud when the fan ramped up, the Enermax could not supply enough power and caused th...
