Distilled water is all I've used in mine for the last three years. I just change the water every three months. No problems at all. I don't think vou need to add anything to the water.

If your overclocking your cpu then it is well worth the 40 bucks! If you're just running your pc with the res for the absence of noisy fans, then I would probably skip it ie: non overclocked pc. I put the newer Zalman block on my 6800gt. It cooled it about 10c lower and the silence is wonderful. The little ram heat sinks have held on for over three weeks now so I am very happy with it.

I just bought this from Sharka. My res gets pretty warm during heavy gaming. Hope this thing helps a bit. It should look nice in the dark with the blue light on blue.
