Re: 12v line problem

ryboto wrote:Are these safe voltages? I've been GPU folding for a while with this setup, and never had any stability issues.
Easy - if the system is running stable, then voltages are safe :)
You just can't kill your components with little (10%) undervoltage, no need to worry about.

Or buy M-Audio Audiophile 2496 or similar card (based on VIA Envy24 chip with good DAC and opamps) and enjoy your headphones. Creative X-Fi better cards (starting f...

What raw value (Data) shows "Reallocated sector count"? If above zero, then "Reallocation event count" (if such atribute exists)? Attribute values 100, 200 or 253 are pretty normal. Their maximum (perfect) values are not defined by SMART "standards", but manufacturers usually use one of these three....

Looks almost normal except misdesigned CPU ducting (air must escape somewhere, after all) and missing fan on backplane (usual cause for system overheating even without any silencing efforts). Well, PSU airflow seems a bit restricted either :) Chieftec cases are pretty solid, but support usually only...

Calibrate your realtemp core1 to match other cores. Intel CPU (esp 45nm) core temperature sensors are not calibrated to show correct idle temperatures - they're calibrated to detect overheating. If you run prime95 on four cores then probably temperatures will align up. I think if you press "Test Sen...

Set your RAM to run in single-channel mode OR set their speed to 333Mhz (single channel is faster). Due to the s939 memory controller problems and motherboard/BIOS writers laziness, many board/BIOS combinations cannot run more than 6 banks RAM in dual-channel mode at 400MHz. Core0 movement (3) is somewhat low, core1 (5) is better (on that forum people are reporting 6-10 degrees for 45nm CPUs). What means that core0 sensor is probably faulty. Don't reapply thermal paste, do cores' test with Realtemp - this test will give you idea about stucking sensor. From what I can see, your core0 sensor doesn't give correct signal and that's all. To adjust core1 idle temperature, use realtemps Idle Calibration feature. Search in linked forum thread :...

One more thing - have you spare PSU? Booting problems are often caused by PSU problems, before opting for new motherboard you should try your system with another PSU. This SSD drive is the real slow one. From spec (diff models, you probably have MLC):

SLC - Read up to 30MB/s, Write up to 22MB/s (8GB, 16GB, 32GB)
MLC - Read up to 25MB/s, Write up to 8MB/s (32GB )

Read Newegg reviews to compare experience.

Since the cable itself isn't moving, and the magnetic field isn't changing, no EMF is generated. Eliminated by My Humble Opinion only :)

From what I know I can't see, how lifting insulated low voltage power cables on isolators can alter cable electrical parameters for audio frequencies (say up to 100kHz). If you can provide some background information (link), I'm well ready to discuss.
