What does FSB mean? (Front side bus?) Is that good? Why ask about overclocking if you don't have that basic knowledge? I'm not trying to be meen or anything, just seems a bit odd But your guess is correct. I'll refrain from replying to your "not trying to be mean" comment with something just as use...

Thanks for sharing your discovery. :D However, I must be blunt, your post contradicts your thread description as I didn't "easily" understand or find it a "quick" mod at all becuase I couldn't even understand most of the tech babble in it. Can you translate for the average Joe please? Some pictures ...

How do I undervolt a Fan?
Gday Wondering, how does one undervolt a fan? I'm looking into purchaseing this model: AUS$49.50 Scythe Samurai Z and was wondering how I can undervolt it, as its cousin Scythe Katana which I am assuming will be the same fan, is mega quite when undervolted. EDIT: I think the only way is to buy a fan...

CPU Cooling advice needed over here! YES YOU!
Hi there I'm not sure if coming across this site was a good thing, as now I have turned into a "silent pc" wannabe. I quit enjoy the thought of and am looking forward to silencing it...within reason $$$$. I have gone from beige box, beige crt monitor, to Antex180b and 20" widescreen (yum yum). Found...

Thanks for the reply Xray, however I have bought myself a ANTEC NeoHE 430watt beauty. I thought my old generic 300w PSU "rattlebox extreme edition with dust500 technology" was making all the noise, so after I installed the ANTEC, i discovered it is the friggin CPU fan. ALL OF IT. Oh well. I'm off to...

Antec Smart Power 400w - rating?
Just a quick one. Does anyhave the Antec Smart power 400? I have read the Smartpower 450w review in SPCR and it seems a decent PSU for the cost to put in my Antec180b. But what about the 400w? Would it be as or more quiet than the 450w version? I don't think I need the 450watter, thats all. Comments...

Last things first: How do I know that the E6300 Conrow will be faster for single threaded game like Battlefield, UT2004, UT2007, FarCry, than the 3.4ghz P4? First things last: Land Ahoy! Of course! Now that I have entertained the thought of a Conroe, I have done some research and have found out tha...

Thanks for the replies. They are making alot of sense. It seems to me that if I upgrade the cpu, as suspected, 3.4 then I can at least get another year from my system, it is clear that my card wont be able to be used with the new technology, I may as well get a few more months from it at semi decent...

Your say, upgrade my CPU, or motherboard as well?
Gday This is my first post here, however it is not in anyway my first visit. I have recently purchased myself a LOVELY Antec180b, merely becuase I think it is the best looking case on the market, as it is simple and elegant and doesnt look like a christmas tree. (thanks to the awsome reviews on this...
