Did anyone try to remove the heatsink on the chipset and power regulation thing on the J&W minix? My 90nm athlon x2 3800+ is running at 38C without undervolt, very reasonable and the heatsink is warm to the touch. On the other hand, the chipset is at 55C and it's barely warm, so there's a serious pr...

Viewsonic VX2025VM. An excellent budget panel, it's not TN, but i don't remember what it was. No whine with any brightness setting. I think it's because it doesn't adjuste the backlight at all, it only adjusts the liquid cristal to let less light go through. Downside would be a higher power consumpt...

Since catalyst 8.x (i don't remember which!) hybrid crossfire now works in XP. And as for running off only the IGP, and turning off the dedicated video card, are you sure??!!! Do you know this for fact? Does your video card's fan turn off? This is the first time after release of hybrid crossfire tha...

crossfire high end HD48xx with 780G IGP?

Since i can't get the dedicated graphics card to turn off like with hybridpower, i thought i might as well be making use of the IGP in a crossfire, or else why would i buy a 780G over say a 740G? So has anyone tried a hybrid crossfire with a high end card and what benefit is there in such a setup? P...

K9N2GM-FIH and hybrid power

Anybody has this board? I want to know for sure if it supports hybrid power. Some reviewers on newegg says it only supports hybrid boost but not hybrid power. He tried with his 9800GTX and 9800GTX2 or something and it didn't work for him but maybe the drivers were just not ready back then or maybe h...

Great. :( Any suggestions on a alternative cpu cooler for this board i.c.m with a Psile case? I was gonna try the shuriken but then it was too tall for my mini-itx case ...

Would the board do hybrid crossfire with one of those rare PCI radeons? I remember they released a recent one lately.
Found that the HD2400 exists in PCI.

Wicked. How did they mount it onto the GPU?

Quite useless to be plugging that powerful dual slot GPU to the 4x pcie.
Anyways, there are other boards out there with full 16x pcie slots, i don't see why not here.

My old M2NPV-VM had a composite out on a pci bracket with a cord you plug into a pin header on the board. It came with it, didn't have to buy anything else. It's just not 775 though.

The most powerful mini-itx powersupplies i see are like 200W but they are for automotive, i just want one for wall socket with an adaptor.

The PC-C36 has a TFX 300W PSU, with a backplate that can be switched between 4 low-profile expantions or 2 full size expantions with riser card. The PC-C37 can take a full size ATX PSU, with a fixed 4 low-profile expantions. PC-C36 is at least ~200$ and the PC-C37 is at least ~150$. They are less th...

mini-itx with both PCI and PCI-e?

Are there any mini-itx board with two expantion slot, one PCI, one PCI-e? I know MSI Fuzzy has some with intel chipsets (old 965) but are there other? Preferably something that can do hybrid cross-fire or hybrid SLI.
