Accelero [Twin] Turbo

Check this out! Finally a cooler from Arctic Cooling that fits my 8800GT in my Antec Fusion case. :D Now I just have to wait for it to hit the stores... :? http://www.matbe.com/actualites/31851/arctic-cooling-accelero-twin-turbo-l1-cebit/ http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s9/nnordahl/TwinTurbo.jpg

Any reason why you haven't considered the AC Accelero S1? My 8800GT idles @ 39C on a Scythe 800RPM fan (5v) with said heatsink attached ... ridiculously effective. Still cools decently well while passive. Well, I'd love to but it will not fit in my fusion case... I just saw some pictures thou...

Quiet EN8800GT cooling solution

My goal was to replace the sock cooler on my ASUS EN8800 GT graphics card with a quiet colling solution that fit in my Antec Fusion case. Working with what I got at home: -Zalman ZM80D-HP -Nexus 80mm fan -Cable ties I came up with this solution. It doesn't keep the card cooler than the stock cooler ...

Shuting down fans in Standby mode

Hello Long time ago I had a Dell Dimention 8300, wich did make some noise, and it was a relief every time i put it in standby since the fans also were shut of. Now I have intstalled my computer in a P180 case with Nexus fans so it's a completely different story noisewais but... the fans don't shut w...

Great Work with the cable arrangement. The photos are very nice! Some comments on the rig: - First of all. I highly recommend the Nexus 12 cm fans . They are inaudible when undervolted. I replaced my TriCool fans with Nexus and that made all the difference. I have 3 fans installed in my 180 case, th...

The PSU works quite silently since I installed it yesterday. When getting hotter though, it starts to sound like my vacuum cleaner.
Since I payed 30% more than mail order I´l return it and pick a new Neo HE 550 and put a 12 cm Nexus in the flow port to cool it instead of the installed 80 mm ADDA.

LC Power LC6550 PSU experienes?

Hi So I managed to destroy my "NeoHE 550" when swaping the fan. visited the repair guy who told me it was not possible to repair my "old" (had it for two months) PSU. So he had got me a new one. I was sceptic since I had never heard of LC Power, but I managed to get him to accept to buy it back if I...

A five minute setup to end the noise of my not so quiet WD2500JS (came with a DELL dimension 8300). :D http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s9/nnordahl/IMG_3498.jpg Elastic suspention from my wives sewing box. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s9/nnordahl/IMG_3499.jpg In place in my P180. NICE!

Thanx Frank

I guess i have to find another solution. The easiest being to power the PSU fan externally directly from the moterboard perhaps. In that way I can use the fans I already have.

Thank you for your replies Neil and Frank No, at the moment I am not using the fan in the lower chamber. The fanmount and brackets works without complaint. No vibrations whatsoever :) What concerns me however is that the fan in the PSU doesn't run until it's getting really hot (the original ran all the time, see first post). See my post in Power supplies: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic....

Antec Neo HE 550W fan swap

Hi! I just finished swaping the fan in my Neo HE 550W PSU to a Nexus SP8025 12L-03. The swap was quite straight forward and I replaced the mounting screws with rubber gommets at the same time. Adding some pics anyway. When I firts turned the system on the fan didn't start so after banging my head to...

Thank you for your replies First: I have now added a note that I have undervolted the Nexus case fans in the original post. 2:nd: The HD noise is not strong but I would say that it gives a medium pitch noise all the time and a ticking sound on seek. Not that I am seriously botherd but you can alway...

My SPCR inspired P180

Dear SPCR members When I discovered SPCR it was a dream come true in the sense that I found one place where all topics regarding silent computing were covered with great articles. When I decided to do something drastic to improve the noise level of my noisy Dell computer I picked all my components ...
