currently testing my C2D E6400 @ 0.95V
anything much under that, and it just wont boot!
http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine
tells me that it makes my CPU draw a meagre 35W. Not sure how realistic that is though, any way of testing?

Any chance of giving the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000/2000 120mms the full SPCR workover? I've heard some very good things about these fans, and they are priced very nicely in comparison with the likes of the Noctua and S-Flex (in the UK at least, not sure about the USA). Madshrimp compared them favor...

Considering how old a cooler Big Typhoon is, it's really a shame for ThermalTake it took so long for it to be reviewed here at SPCR. It probably would have done miracles for TTs reputation, had it been reviewed here back in 2005 when it was released. Not to mention, it would have been a real conten...

Lian-Li PC-7b? very good price for an excellent case! For that price you can buy your own filters. Sleek, minimalist, aluminum, and Lian-Li build quaili...

simonnance AC's are VERY competitive in price..... you can get 2 for the price of an S-Flex or Noctua! No wonder, since it uses an ordinary sleeve bearing (FDB is BS). The S-Flex has the same impeller design, but will last way longer. Then explain the 400,000 hour MTTF @40C and the 6yr warranty! Vs...

OcUK recently started stocking the AC 12L and 12025L, with hints that they'd sell the PWMs when they hit the UK. In fairness price is a pretty big thing me..... If i can get 2 great fans for £12, rather than the 2 of the BEST fans for £30..... then i know where i'll go! I generaly go for the slow ...

where have you found these in the UK? AC's are VERY competitive in price..... you can get 2 for the price of an S-Flex or Noctua! Coupling that, the decoupling tech on the exhaust fans, and the reasonable sound/airflow in general with the PWM then you have a recipe for a computer that can idle very ...

I have the ET850, part of my "futureproofing"..... damm good PSU for only a little over what some of the decent mid range ones cost, and much less than the Silverstone Zeus 850W which is basically a re-spin of it. It aint that quiet though, not in my case, Akasa Eclipse, 120mm Akasa Amber intake, Th...
