Re: Disassembled Radeon 6950/70 question + Scythe Musashi

It comes off in one piece. Refer to http://en.jo1jo.com/vb/showthread.php?p=202353 for details. I'm not sure what you're after here, Musashi comes with ramsinks, so you wouldn't need the original piece anyway. I mounted Thermalright Shaman with no problems. You might want to keep an eye on the temps...

The problem most likely is that you don't have the permissions to delete c:\windows. Boot to XP > go to My Computer > C:\ > right-click Windows-folder > Properties > Security > Advanced and then take ownership of Windows & all subcontainers for your user account.

If you're too impatient to wait for the package to arrive and to read the manual (or to use google), you might find this useful:

Ordering from Germany makes sense if you're getting more than the case. http://geizhals.at/eu/a209341.html

I can reply only partially, as I have 500GB mybook essential (first version).

The first thing you should note is that this drive is not silent (although I doubt your laptop is either). But, however, it will power off automatically after being idle for something like 15 minutes and has on/off -button.

Sounds like you need to do a system restore. The fastest way to access it in Vista is to start typing "system" in the "Start Search" -field of the Start menu and click it when it appears (or just type in rstrui and press Enter).
