FS: [USA] 2x1g corsair ddr800 2x1g crucial ddr800

I have a set of 2x1gig Crucial Ballistix DDR800 memory. And a set of 2x1gig Corsair XMS2 DDR800 memory. I believe these all have 4-4-4-12 timings. This memory was only used for about a month. My Asus P5K motherboard went bad. Asus tech support is giving me a run around. I decided I am just going to ...

Is the bios on the Asus p5k socketed?

I think I am looking at the right thing according to the block diagram. I tried to flash the bios, the utility failed half way through, my bios is hosed. The board won't even power up long enough to open the dvd tray. Crashless bios, ha! For the last week I have been trying to get an RMA from Asus. ...

falcon26, did you ever get a chance to snap a pic of your cable routing? I have almost the same setup, main difference is I have the 540 watt corsair and 8800gts 320meg. I can not route the cables behind the motherboard tray and get the back panel on. The power cable is really thick. From the looks ...

Ahhh, I did not see that. So what I gather is the VRM is running at 43 degrees and is well within tolerances.

However, the temp doesn't change. Since it is a voltage regulator it is always working, hence the constant temp?

Thanks for the info, I must have missed it on their site.

temp sensor on an Asus P5K

Where is the system temp sensor on an Asus P5K? I built my new system yesterday. I happy with it, however I noticed something interesting. Using Asus's software at idle the cpu is around 22°C and the system temp is at 43°C. During a cpu stress test the cpu is at 34°C and the system temp is at 43Â...

Can you post a picture of the cable routing? I've tried but I can not get the back cover on with that many cables back there.

Ahh yes, there's the clamp on the back of the motherboard.

Ok, I think I will get some foam blocks to stick in there during transportation for extra protection.

On a related note, how easy is it to remove the Ultra120 if you are going to travel with it?

Yeah but--you think Vista is just XP with bloat and a re-tread. That's what people said about XP when compared to 98. Vista just needs to go through a couple of service packs like XP to make it a good OS. I have been reliably informed that the two recent games Halo 2 and Shadowrun that are labeled ...

Hmmm, I am not going to overclock. I know it's all the rage right now but meh. I did over clock dual celeron 330 to 550 back in the day. That was an interesting experience but I don't feel like doing that again :)

Well, I like the look of the P182. And I only ask about the nine hundred as it is on sale at Best Buy this week. I just noticed the P180 is internet only at BB. I haven't chosen a hdd yet though I put the WD AKS 500gig in my newegg wishlist. How's the solo with the quad core. I hear the quad core ne...

Quick question :)
What about the P180 and Nine Hundred? The P180 is shorter than the P182. Pliss, I know you say you don't need to remove the hdd cage but other posts on the forum say otherwise.

I ask about these two because they are on sale 20% off at Best Buy this week.

Help with choices for a quiet quad core with 8800gts

I've been reading case and heatsink reviews the last week. I am unsure what to get. I am building a computer with a Q6600 cpu, Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard, and an 8800gts 320meg video card. I'd like the system to be quiet. I don't plan to do any overclocking. The P182 is big enough for the 8800gts, ...
