Re: Akasa Euler Fanless case
i think this case looks amazing, but 2 things i dont quite like. One is the laptop style power brick. I view that as somewhat cheating, though to be fair, you can hide that. 2nd is the limitations of this case as a whole. I think this has at most the power of a typical netbook. Still, I can imagine...

At last, I get to see a bequiet! psu reviewed here. If any of my psus ever die, I will definately consider this now for my next build.

Re: SilverStone Heligon HE02: Monster Fanless CPU Cooler
As attractive a fanless cpu cooler may be, throwing in a smaller cheaper cooler with a low rpm fan is a much better option.
I don't like the fact that this coolers have a concave base. Has there ever been a good cpu cooler with such a property?

Re: SpeedFan: A Guide to Universal Motherboard Fan Control
ok, after giving up on it previously, I have decided to re-venture my way back into Speedfan. The reason for my previous problem was due to the undetectable fans. I have resorted to google and it turns out that the latest beta version might sort out my problem (wish I paid more attention). Got the l...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ04-E Evolution Case
So, I have learned that they wanted to create a mid-tower size case that holds 9 3.5” hard drives and six 2.5” drives that does not hassle graphics card compatibility. Why is it necessary to have so many drives? If the future is to continue as is, I feel that we will eventually see 3 tb drives at af...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ04-E Evolution Case
I think silverstone has focused on the wrong area and in the process, forgot it's own identity along the way. The review states that the case focused heavily into cooling hard drives so maybe it is designed as a server case or something, but they could seriously just look at the fractal r3/r4 for hi...

I personally have a thermalright ultra with some 120mm noctua fan running at 500rpm. Cpu is at stock and its probably as quiet as it can get without going fanless. I cannot hear it unless i open the case and stick my ear next to it. Runs pretty cool too. Granted its on a 3570k, which i belive uses l...

Re: be quiet! Dark Rock 2 Tower Heatsink
Page 8 really says it all. This is perhaps the most conclusive review ive read from spcr for a long while - mike chin nailing the specific issues and fundamentally showing where to improve. Bequiet needs to sort their critical error asap. The heatsink itself looks like a lot of potential, so maybe w...

My initial prediction was that this product was going to be just "ok", but seeing this review gives a sense of dis...

Re: Thermalright HR-02 Macho Quiet/Fanless Cooler
wow, the price is seriously a high point, especially when compared to the competition. I'm not convinced this can play the "passive" card well in quiet operations, which is a shame - I thought it would do well. Comparing noise levels, if I am reading this correctly, at 12-14 dBA, the dual fan setup ...

Re: SilverStone Fortress FT02 Revisited
I had to use the motherboard fan software to tune the rpm down to about 550 (which is the minimum I could set it). I wouldn't say the large fans are silent 0db (you could tell the difference between on and off in a very quiet room), but it is damn close. One disadvantage with this case that annoys m...

Artonox -- The only way you'll decrease the noise of the WD Greens is to encase them in a good mechanical housing like the Smart Drive or Scythe Queit Drive (neither of which are cheap). But those will re-introduce the vibration-induced noise... unless you can somehow suspend the enclosures. Not ea...

Artonox -- What HDDs do you have suspended, and what kind of improvement are you seeking? All you say is "fat hard drives". I ask because if they are decently quiet modern drives, the airborne noise should be quite low, and the elastic suspension should be as effective as anything can be in reducin...

This review just confirms to everyone to stay away from reeven until further notice.
They need to read these reviews, walk away and improve on them. From their products so far, i'm not sure if they are serious enough to make worthwhile products.

Honestly? I would definitly upgrade to SSD, no questions asked. First, you'll get blazing speed, no latency while accessing data, and most of all no noise. The prices are plummeting down very fast, I've seen 120G Agility 3 drives for 55$ after MIR last weekend. Average price for 120G is between 60-...
