Euhm, did they just test CPU coolers in an open air setup? Kinda ruins the whole test, imo. Also a real short view on every single cooler. I understand the article would've been massive if they'd review every single cooler properly, but from the few that i read, i didn't get much needed info at all,...

Depends on how much you like he case, imo. CPU fan: AMD default sink and fan is a dead give away that you haven't put much thought into your cooling as of yet. Designing an airflow path which is optimal for your setup is your first step, then get a CPU cooler which fits into that design. Then a good...

My 8800GT, when i ran it fanless still made some sound yes. Coil whine. The noise wasn't much of a problem though, it had to be totally silent not only in my room, but also my house and the street in proximity to my room for it to be really noticeable. A ticking clock would drown out the noise compl...

By chance i just happened to have done the thing you're wondering last weekend. I bought an enclosure (USB + Esata) and put in an ATA disk (limiting me to USB usage) and then formatted it through disk management. Other disk management programs should work as well. Works fine and doesn't take a secon...

'Hackers' One or two hackers wrote a bunch of DDoS tools and spread em through 4Chan, which resulted in the 4Chan army bringing down every single Scientology site and keeping it down for some time. They also Google bomb sites so the anti Scientology sites show up higher in a Google search concerning...

Case in point - 25dB "ultra quiet" AcoustiFan 8dB Noctua My point is: investing in the best fans and putting thought into your case airflow, matter more than the actual material your case is made from. If you believe the numbers that companies give you to be accurate without a doubt, you'd be fooli...

Also I have a P182 case. Instead of attaching the fan to the heatsink, would it work to attach the fan to the upper drive cage and blow air across the heatsink? I don't know if it'll fit on the card, but if you just have any fan blowing air across the heatsink it'll work perfectly. Doesm't need to ...

You took a swing and hit too close to home i guess :P Anywho, too... spacious a case to me. I only have like 2 harddrives at max in any case i build and 1 DVD-rom. SLI isn't worth the costs, the performance gain is negligible for normal systems. Tripple SLI would be the equivalent of throwing your money on a burning pile of shit. Crossfire however, is so much more efficient that it is worth the cost. I didn't have real issues with getting a 8800GT myself, and ...

My turbulence noise went away (or at least no longer noticable) when i cut out the fan guard grid, cut up the doors and removed the filter. If you put the HDD bay in the middle and mount the fan at the end of it i believe you'll have the best of both worlds. Decreased temperatures and no turbulence ...
