It has a really nice noisecurve as well, it's to bad that so many highwatt powersupplies are silent and highefficient when very few lowwatt--models are. I wish they'd make a sub 400W powersupply with 90% efficiency. You can't really complain about high wattage when the efficiency is 85% at 80W load...

It would be my choice for future HTPC build, not that it would need a 450W PSU but silence is the key. It would even cut in a gaming rig but then again it's kind of wasted cash since there'll be other components making more noise than some of the quiet PSUs.

It's neither a top-down cooler nor a tower cooler. It won't cool the CPU as well as a tower and it won't have as wide of a range as top-down cooler for components around the socket. It looks like a tilted BTF-90 and it looks nice, and I'd bet that's exactly why it is as it is.

Reading Anand's article, I know what not to recommend if they are looking for SSDs.

Sounds more like it's a defective unit. 625W should be plenty enough to run any system with a 4870X2.

I've never used third party VGA coolers so do you use the thermal paste on the core like you do with a CPU? Or on the base of the cooler? Those ramsinks don't have thermal paste under them right?

The only reason I would go AMD now is out of pity, or if I would be building a system with IGP only (don't know why I would do that). The Intel chips just OC so much better and thus offer much more value. Not to even mention they are 45nm and use less power.

I would like too see just how high-performance they really are. Even the non-affordable aren't high-performance enough so I'm a bit sceptical about it. The price seems nice though if in fact they would beat mechanical drives in performance across the board.

PSU is bottom-mounted in this case but there's no holes under the PSU so you'll have to flip the PSU over thus effectively rendering the bottom-mount useless.

Those are some serious differences between core temps. The TRUE is known for shipping with a nonflat base more often than not and judging by those temps, it seems to be the case. I don't see these crashings and problems that people seem to have with Vista. Maybe because I installed it a few weeks back and installed all the patches. Haven't had a single crash yet, and have been satisfied with it. No point in going back to XP and it's DX9 applications.
