Hello, I think they are suffering from a misunderstanding of how a PSU fan is controlled...I think this is a myth that, along with there being a problem with running sleeve bearings horizontally -- needs to be debunked! :o I agree, the Slipstream installed in my HX520 is running fine and is silent ...

Yes but there's a sticker covering the screw to open up the psu so once you open it up the warranty is technically void. Maybe you can remove this and replace it without them knowing but i doubt it.

Did you use an 3pin to 2pin adaptor or something or did you broke the 2pin connector in order to fit the 3pin fan??? You can remove the 2 pin hea...

Hey, i also had the same problems under vista 64 with an Asus board. Currently i have Winaam in the startup folder which successfully enables aam but is not ideal since you have to manually set it each time you restart.

Would like to know of any other solutions.

Welcome to SPCR! I fan swapped my PSU 2000 rpm adda ball bearing fan into Scythe S-flex 1600 rpm because S-flex starts reliably under 5v everytime. With Adda fan my RPM's were around 900 RPM idle. After changing fan my RPM's were around 500 to 600 rpm. Thanks, i had also considered the 1600rpm S-fl...

Corsair HX520 Fan Replacement

Hi guys, been lurking around the forums for a while now and have built a system upon much of your advice. My Corsair HX520 has become the loudest part of my system, with the fan frequently making "chugging" noises at low load. I am considering replacing the fan but am not sure what with. The Scythe ...
