Yep the p12 is definately to be considered. I might look at sharkoon silent eagles instead of the redwings although even now the majority noise is a slight rumble underneath the rushing air. I was thinking a controller could be good but i've taken out the 3.5" bay to increase airflow and make room f...

Water cooling graphics

Hi All, I'm investigating watercooling my GTX260, the fan is just too noisy when the card is loaded. I'm not necessarily W/Cing the rest of the system as its all in a NSK3480 so not much radiator space... SysSpec in sig. I have already modded the 3480 to have two 120mm intake fans. I thought of repl...

Gotcha! So how about a case that had a 120mm and the psuoutlet along the base as exhaust. Motherboard oriented so ports and slots at back, IGP and a ninja/minja passive. Intake at front and either side of top edge (or top surface if using standoffs to mount to desk. With IGP the psu could overhang t...

Yeah, the 3.5 was really a nod to flexibility. I would have a hard disk soft mounted/suspended as those two upper bays are the only places for drives. An optical disk thick system sounds like acer revo or ion based system? But if you could have a 90degrees PCI-E adapter you could get some graphics p...

@MikeC the drawing doesnt show but the design is very nsk3480 and the line under the psu/drives would be a sealed barrier. The psu could intake from above (120mm) or have 80mm exhaust. We all seem to have different needs for SFF to accomodate. I wantedto be able to cram as high power sys as is quiet...

Main points:- Two proper 120mm...

Given what you're working with, the cable management isn't so bad, but the behind the motherboard mods you're looking at doing will surely improve things like the ATX power cable and fan cables. Yeah I did my best to get the cables out of the airflow. There isn't a lot of "tuck away" space... I'm n...

My nsk3480 gaming build

Hi all, I have eventually plucked up the courage to post my fairly quiet system. This has been a work in progress and to a greater extent still is... I started off with the idea that I wanted a small(ish) pc which I could take with me when I travel to let me do gaming, video editing and internet/ema...

Great "cablegami" job (like that a lot!! :-)). What did you use to cut the holes?

What is the sound like from the open fans? I went fanless on my Accellero and my 8800gt runs cool (68 degrees max) even if I o'clock it.

Nice Pictures!!

Great rig. On the subject of 120mm in the front you can fit one using some of the mount holes for the 92mm's. I have been experimenting and just for a laugh I cable-tied a 120mm antec tri-cool to the inside of the bottom 92mm. Running it on medium at 7V, the loudest fan is the PSU. Which also has co...

Thank you, I had seen that post but not made the stretch (shrink?) to 120mm. That cable management is ideally what I would like. Need a dremel I think! I have 2 x Xilence red wing 92mm in the front at 7V at the moment and they are [/u]just the biggest noise source. Other "noisemakers":- 120mm Noctua...

Good job getting all that in that tiny case!

I also have a G33-DS2R and was looking to use either a ninja, Xigmatek1283 or OCZ Vendetta 2 in my NSK3480. What is the distance between the edge of the ninja and the edge of the mboard?

If my calculations are correct I can allow just under 5mm overhang.
