Re: 5750 - Holy Poop
That's all I have to say. It beats out the 4770 in all things , has a lower idle and lower draw by a considerable notch. Goes past 1920x1200 with 2x AA on. dang. hexus and hardocp have the best reviews. Now for Mike C ! 8) no? http://www.hardware.fr/articles/775-14/dossier-amd-radeon-hd-5770-5750.h...

you are not a moron, but your method is kinda flawed ( at least secure your molex with blacktape?) also, this is a good choice ( with this one > all my s-flex + psu fan) http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/files/detail/kazemasteraceblack.jpg ah, Accelero? nice. I now feed it with 1.25v and get 1GHz/1.2GHZ with 40C idle and 50C load. : Clint, my lame oc sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't (hangs) Im using rivaT + display drivers, no ccc and stock volts. With that Asus SmartDoc utility, is it possible to revert back to my stock clocks @ 2d voltages? (...

Ch0z3n, the 4830 msi card is an awesome solid card, and at that price @ performance you cant complain... ( temps? noise?) i bet my leaky 4770 (3+1 power phase)consumes the same, if not more power at idle than yours. so no regrets, they are all pretty much the same. what other choice do you have? 467...

1. no. petercrab, i like to test my videocards with games, ( crysis, ridick, etc) Even with the fan at 5v, the s1 crushes the stock cooler by a huge margin, both idle and load. ( edit 1 hr of crysis > 875 core 1000 memory =42C > rivatuner osd) 2. No. I really dont think thats a good idea. the origin...

complaining about the 4770 price @ ? the way i see it, you have a free s1 there, + a cheaper faster, cooler, smaller 4850. btw in my country the shitty -non reference- sapphire 4850 costs $55more sporting crapier @ fewer caps and even lesser components... Did you have to make yours really tight before the screws would reach? not really, they seem to reach out effortlessly- easier than a vf700 installation- but i did tighten the screws as much as i could afterward, and then a bit more  http://i41.tinypic.com/2va09s8.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/jz...

Athlon 4850e? i think your sys is efficient enough, also your case is HUGE 4 the kind of tinny mobo you are using, a single cable is not going to impede airflow at all. so the 4770 is not going to make harm, and in some point you have to stop and think a bit about performance, but if you reall...

yep, it works like a charm, as long as you use the s1 screws, and not the stock ones that are rather small@short. i did it like this. ( s1 + stock metal springs + stock X clamp + s1 screws and plastic clips ) anyway, i don't think is necessary, unless you are having problems like i had (the stock cl...
