Re: First Quiet Build
I've built numerous rigs in the past but I am trying with quietness as a priority for the first time. The rig is for general use such as surfing and playing bluray movies. Not gaming at all. I also want quick bootup times and will be running Vista for a month until 7 comes out. The starred items I ...

how much heat XSPC RS360 cope with
Under ideal, conditions i was wondering how much heat in Watts my loop would be able to cope with
Pump MCP355
RES: XSPC Res top
CPU Block : D-tek fuzion V2
RAD: XSPC RS360
7/16 ID tubing.
with all conditions being perfect, what is the most heat this rig will cope with?
Thanks Markp1989

thanks for the replies ( i havnt been on this forum for a few days), since posting the first picture, i have re routed the tubing so there is less of it (with the barbs at the bottom of the rad it took abit longer to bleed) http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg102/markp1989/CIMG5221.jpg http://i246....

OK, now that sounds just loony. Have you done a full load stress test? surely have =) using a bodgy 'wall wart' style wattmeter, after the system was running at stable load temps [hence the PSU wasn't going to draw more current as it got warmer] 300W AC was measured. now, before we get too crazy he...

Hi, All PicoPSU and similar are only generating 5V 3.3V and -12V the +12V is used directly from brick so the power output is far from 150W for PicoPSU 150W . from spec of PicoPSU-150-XT you get 5V at 6A this is 30W; + 5VSb 1.5A 7.5W; 3.3V at 6A 19.8W; and -12V at 0.05A 0.6W so the total power is 57...

Why flow sensors? Why not measure temperature on whichever device will get hot the fastest if pumps or radiator fan fails (might be CPU, might be GPU). You'd still have plenty of time to shutdown gracefully, wouldn't impede flow (the more "oomph" you need to use to circulate your water, the louder ...
