The SMART function in Speedfan is known to give bogus results. It is a nice program but if you want to know your drive SMART statistics look somewhere else.

I cannot agree more with you.

I bought a black Sony DDU-1621 2 month back. And i am really pleased with it. You can hardly hear it. I had to check to see that i was actually working :wink:

So anyone looking for a new DVD drive, you cannot go wrong with this baby!

The deltatronic looks slightly different if you ask me.

I am still wondering if you can make such an enclore yourself. I haven't found the propper heatsink yet otherwise i am definetly going to try it.

rant I still don't understand why people buy Qtec PSU's. They are just utter crap. I have heart of so many people with troubles. And i must say i am not surprised. It seems the EU is the sole distribution market for Papst. For US it is the otherway around, it is Panaflo all the way.

I haven't found any Panaflo in Europe as of yet. So i recently purchased some from the US.

Then the heat has to go through two barriers. First the gap between the drive and the bracket. After that from the bracket to the heatsink. B...

It is a very common issue with this Mainboard. I am not sure if Tyan offers any warranty on this. I would ask if i were you. They have very good tech support. Maybe they are willing to do the repairs.

A couple of weeks ago there was a link to an article about adding a Alpha Z heatsink to an ATI Radeon. They build a aluminium duct with it aswell.

I searched the whole site but i cannot find it anymore :?

Does anyone have it for me?

I ordered the Aopen 350 Watt one. But the idiots send me the wrong PSU all together. I got a Fotron FS350-60BTN which is equipt with a 80 mm fan :evil:

So i wasn't to happy. I have to send it back now. Hopefully they will send me the correct one.
