When i first saw that prototype my initial thought was " i want one " followed by " i don't want that weight on my socket " as the HR-02 is bad enough for socket sag when the board is on it's side.
Though Noctua make great mounting hardware so i'm sure they are working on that as well.

Re: Cooler Master MasterAir Maker 3DVVC
Is the build quality any better these days on Cooler Master heatsinks as there have been complaints in the past of them being cheaply built and loose socket mount hardware issues.
Hope they have improved as that looks like a great idea.

Re: Noctua introduces twin NF-A12x25 NH-U12A CPU cooler
There was a couple of reviews when the noctua NH-D14 was released beating the HR-02 in passive mode but i can't remember what CPU it was , i'm pretty sure it was at stock.it would have been interesting to see how they all held up before thermal throttling kicked in. Even though the Noctua D14 has th...

Thanks for the link.
Not sure if it proves wrong all the people that keep saying it's just Panasonic sheets repackaged by IC cooling unless the editor bought the wrong stuff as he used standard PGS and not the thicker soft PGS that Panasonic sell?

He said the paste had thickened to a putty yet others have said that their old MX4 was as wet and sticky as the day they had first applied it , Though i've seen plenty of people say that MX2 is thick and turns to putty , though i assume he is 100% sure that he used MX4 years ago and not fogotten. :?...

LOL , Dude you seem to be having your own conversation with your own subtext and cherry picking from your own quotes to make a point that is only in context to yourself. :P My part of the original MX-4 quote is in the original first post. Re: Manufacture Guaranteed Durable Thermal Paste?
Thanks for going to the trouble of contacting Arctic Silver but it's not necessary as this is not a question of "does thermal paste last a long time" but a question of what brand publicly and officially advertise their product as being long lasting? Re: Long Lasting Thermal Paste?
I personally dont think there is much credence to the whole "you have to periodically reapply" TIM, or even that they have a shelf life. Sounds like a way to get people to buy (and waste) more product. That's the point of this thread that i wondered if anyone knew of any others that buck the trend ...

Re: Long Lasting Thermal Paste?
I get your point. But thermal paste is used all over the place, almost everywhere electrical components gets hot and require cooling. Saying that most manufactures of thermal paste say to change the paste every 2 or 3 years is not correct. Some niche manufactures does it, as you point out. There's ...

Re: Akasa Euler Fanless case
For i3-3220T - 59*C (ambient 23*C-24*C)- 100% cpu - that's LinX at standard settings,we got similar temps when we put celeron g1610. Idle drops to about 39-40*C. Having 50 is not bad(assuming it is during heavy use). We also compared akasa's thermal compound given with the case and it was surprisin...
