Gigabyte D510UD power consumption
Just built myself a system for file storage/torrents: Gigabyte D510UD RAM 2GB HDD 2x1TB WD10EADS PSU Antec TruePower 360W The system idles at 45W measured at the wall, under Prime 95 it goes up to 50W, I am shocked, I expected about 30W. Interesting reading. However ixbtlabs measurments for MSI 785GM-E65 look unrealistically low: 10W - idle, 39-56W - Far Cry. And this is with Phenom II X4 810. Tom's Hardware came up with 85W idle / 128W under load for the same board and Phenom II X2, X3 CPUs. Go figure, might depend on the measurmen...
