Yes, that is what I was thinking. Maybe I have to rephrase my question - will there be a problem for a 7mm HDD if placed inside a Scythe Quiet Drive 2.5"? Isn't that gap a problem? Scythe Quiet Drive 2.5" with 7mm HDD?

I've got a 7200rpm Hitachi Z7K500 hdd, which makes somewhat irritating airborne noise. I was wondering - because the height of the HDD is 7mm, can it fit in a Scythe Quiet Drive 2.5", or the internal aluminium casing is made just for standard 9.5mm drives? Scythe GT AP-15 (1850rpm), S-FLEX F (1600rpm), Kama Flow 2 H (1900rpm) and Zalman F3 (both Sleeve and FDB). :) It will be interesting to see how they compare at full speed and undervolted, especially the Scythes (which according to their site have roughly the same CFM, but different noise levels).
